She produced landscapes, genre scenes and sensitive portraits, mostly of women. After her studies at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, she was awarded a French government scholarship to study at the Ecoles des Beaux-Arts art academy in Paris for three years. She returned to the country in late and produced many landscape and portrait paintings.
