William Shatner has revealed he once donned the Michael Myers mask from Halloween while trick-or-treating. It's a well-known piece of trivia that Michael Myers' hauntingly blank mask was actually a Captain Kirk mask from Star Trek that was painted white and altered for the movie. Halloween production designer Tommy Lee Wallace created two potential masks , with one being a creepy clown mask and the other being the Shatner mask, which was easily the creepiest.

Shatner himself is well aware of the mask's origins, though he rarely comments on the topic. In a new interview with EW , the actor spoke about wishing he had some financial ties to the Halloween series, and that he once donned the mask while taking his children trick-or-treating.
