Born visually impaired in Karnataka, India, Ashwini Angadi was initally deprived of an education. As an adult she went on to set up her own pioneering school. Ashwini Angadi was born totally blind in a small village in Karnataka, India. After initially being denied an education, a chance meeting in a taxi changed her life — she was able to enrol in a school for the visually impaired.
